Javelin Partners, which owns the former Trinity Lutheran Church on Gaston Road, has found a new buyer for the property. That means the plan for 27 single-family homes and 17 three-story townhomes that Foresite Development pitched to neighbors in January is a no-go.

The buyer, who hasn’t yet been identified, is not buying the long-vacant property on a zoning contingency. The property currently has single-family zoning.
