A new fast-casual Mexican restaurant that fans say is better than Chipotle will open in Casa Linda this fall, CultureMap reported.
Chiloso Mexican Bistro will open its seventh location in November at the Casa Linda Plaza. It will be located at the northeast corner of Buckner Boulevard and Garland Road in the same quadrant as Petco.
The eatery follows a similar concept as Chipotle, in which customers can build their own tacos, burritos, bowls or nachos with specific ingredients and toppings. Although it may look like a Chipotle, fans say the food at Chiloso is fresher and more authentic.
Some of the most popular items include the grilled avocado, topped with meat and queso, and the OMG, a quesadilla stuffed with chicken, cheese and avocado. (Just be prepared to possibly pay more for avocado products.)
Plus, Chiloso is open for breakfast and serves breakfast tacos with potatoes, bacon, sausage and refried beans.
Founder David Balli opened the first Chiloso in Rockwall in 2006. Balli used to live in Casa Linda and is excited to return to the neighborhood, a spokesperson for the restaurant chain told CultureMap.
