Dallas County records show that Chase bank has leased the building at the southwest corner of Mockingbird and Greenville. The site, which once housed Cork & Bottle liquor store, Chief’s Safe & Lock, Empire Cleaners and Paradise Nail, is under construction. A Houston-based JP Morgan Chase spokesman couldn’t confirm whether the retail strip, which was built in 1949, is going to be a new bank branch. Building owner Frank Mihalopoulos of Corinth Properties hasn’t returned my call yet.
