As CC Young restricted visitation access to protect its residents from the coronavirus, family and friends got creative to show love and support to relatives cooped up inside.
In the median across the street from CC Young, they planted encouraging yard signs, pinwheels, streamers and more.
Residents missing their families will see signs that read, “Be happy grammy and poppy” or “Hi mom” and “Hi dad.”
The moral support signs are just one way community members are going out of their way to keep older adults upbeat during the pandemic.
CC Young staff organized an Easter parade and have revamped the social calendar to include virtual programming, independent activities, creative at-home workouts and entertainment.
