That rainfall we’ve been hearing about has arrived in full force. It (kind of) started yesterday, but this morning the weather isn’t joking around.

There has been torrential rainfall and wind gusts in excess of 70 mph in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to The Weather Channel, and even some damage to homes and vehicles.

In our own neighborhood, there’s a traffic light down at Mockingbird and Greenville. Neighbor Kyle Baugh shared the above photo on Facebook.

Also you might want to stay away from Casa Linda Plaza, if you can avoid it. The northbound lane on Garland at Buckner is shut down due to high water, and last we checked police were diverting traffic through the McDonalds parking lot.

Neighbor Gary Isett, who owns the house at the corner of Abrams and Trammel that always has the wacky yard art, says his “flagpole is bent 90° to the ground.”
