Casa View Street Improvement Project delay

The Department of Transportation & Public Works has issued a notice addressing the delay of the Casa View Street Improvements project.

The improvements are taking place on Gus Thomasson Road, from Ferguson to Joaquin Drive and Ferguson Road, from Joaquin Drive to San Medina Avenue. 

On Aug. 30, 2024, the City distributed a notification letter stating that the construction was scheduled to begin.

The Department of Transportation & Public Works has recently received a notification from Atmos Energy that they will be relocating their work within the Casa View Improvement project limits.  

The relocation of Atmos Energy’s work, which is scheduled to begin this month and be completed in June of this year, creates construction delays for the project. 

Upon the completion of Atmos Energy’s relocation work, the Department of Transportation & Public Works will distribute an updated notification letter with a revised construction start date.
