The Capitol Pub, one of the first restaurants to bring brunch to Dallas, is closing on Henderson Avenue after 13 years in business. Its last day will be New Year’s Eve.
With the pub’s lease set to expire, owners Cheryl and Peter Kenny said in a news release that it was time to close.
The eatery at 2401 Henderson Ave. may be shutting its doors, but neighbors can get some of the same food when the Kennys open a new place called Lochland’s Food and Spirits in Lake Highlands in January 2020.
Lochland’s menu will also feature some of the most popular dishes from The Gin Mill, which the couple opened on Henderson Avenue and then closed in 2015.
The Kennys also operate The Dubliner on Greenville Avenue.
