Capital One Bank is the sponsor of the Mayor’s Summer Reading Club in Dallas, and as part of its sponsorship, it will conduct a book drive through April 30 to collect new books and promote the reading program.
The Mayor’s Summer Reading Club has been running for more than 40 years to encourages children and teens to read during the summer months in order to sharpen academic thinking during the lazy summer months, as well as to inspire curiosity and establish a habit for young people to become lifelong readers and learners.
Books can be dropped off at the new Capital One Bank location at Timbercreek (off Northwest Highway next to Walmart), or in Deep Ellum at Gaston and Haskell, or at Central and Fitzhugh.
