Neighbors received a blurry flyer in their mailbox this week noting the road closures for Saturday’s Hot Chocolate 15k/5k race, which starts and ends in Fair Park, but circles through Old East Dallas, Lower Greenville, Lakewood and Hollywood Santa Monica.
Unfortunately, someone dropped the ball on proofreading the flyers because the map is illegible. The key doesn’t make it much easier. Thankfully, the flyer includes a table of street closures to supplement the image. The Advocate has your back as well. Should you find yourself stuck in the encircled area mid race, the way out is to take the bridge over the Santa Fe Trail at Brookside Ave., which runs along the Lakewood Country Club golf course.
