Here’s a way to drown our sorrows.

Ruby’s Sno-Balls, Old East Dallas’ gourmet shaved-ice stand, is offering a special flavor: Honeysuckle. And for as long as honeysuckle is in bloom, all proceeds from sales of that flavor will go to the Dallas Endowment for Endangered Properties for the preservation of the Bianchi house on Reiger at Carroll.

The honeysuckle shaved ice costs $5 for 8 ounces or $6 for 12 ounces. Ruby’s is located at the back of La Victoria restaurant on Haskell and is open 1-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday.

Donations can be made directly to the endowment here.
