Bryan Adams high school principal Cynthia Goodsell today was awarded 2009 Principal of the Year.

School Board trustees sing Goodsell’s praises and say that the school under Goodsell’s leadership has been undergoing an amazing transformation by way of aggressive staff restructuring and curriculum realignment.

"She is at the forefront of her profession as an advocate to ensure that her students receive the best possible public education,” says Leigh Ann Ellis. 

Two of her biggest reported accomplishments since she arrived at BA in 2006 has been the abolishment of several campus gangs, and the installment of a library coffee shop — both  endeavors  would have been intensely appreciated during my time there back in the 90s. Kudos to Goodsell and expect to hear more good things out of Bryan Adams, our other East Dallas high school.
