Dallas ISD administration introduced Bott in a letter to the Bryan Adams community. Prior to working in Dallas, he taught in Denton ISD and Houston ISD, where he was named Teacher of the Year for his work as an Algebra 1 teacher at Lamar High School.

In 2015 he became an assistant principal at Molina High School, where he led a high achieving math department and early college high school.

“He is dedicated to continuing and furthering the excellence of Bryan Adams High School Leadership Academy and is committed to maintaining the traditions that BA holds near and dear in its hearts,” the letter reads.

Bott will follow Richard Kastl, who led Bryan Adams for five years before becoming an executive director over the schools in Northeast Dallas, which includes Bryan Adams. Kastl will help supervise and guide principals such as Bott and Woodrow’s new principal Michael Moran, who was a teacher at Woodrow before he was an assistant principal at Bryan Adams.
