When you turn on your TVs this November to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, you could see three Bryan Adams cheerleaders marching the parade route in New York City.
But they need your help to get there.
Callie Bewley, Angelia In and Brianna Moya are raising money to perform in the Nov. 28 parade alongside the Dallas ISD Spirit Stars.
In June, they competed against 100 cheerleaders from 21 DISD schools for a position on the 39-person squad. A panel of judges chose members who exhibited leadership, a positive attitude and a high level of technical skills in jumps, motions, dance and stunting.
The cost to participate is $2,475, excluding airfare.
As of 11 a.m. Tuesday, 12 people had contributed $620 toward the $2,000 goal. Donations can be made here.
