Bryan Adams will compete in the regional competition this February.

The academic decathlon is a theme-based, 10-event scholastic team competition wherein students match their intellect with students from other schools. Nine-member teams are comprised of three A students, three B students and three C students.

This year’s theme was “In Sickness and in Health: An Exploration of Illness and Wellness.” Students were tested on a variety of subjects, such as the biology of cancer, the history of health care and health economics.Â
