The restaurant used to be located in Soirée Coffee Bar in Trinity Groves, but it closed in June. Now, Washington has filed for a certificate of occupancy at 5014 Ross Ave.

Dallasites flocked to Soirée for Washington’s Southern staples, such as shrimp and grits. His soul food burrito made the list of Food Network’s “Most-Over-the-Top Burritos in the Country.”

There’s no specific opening date or hours listed on Brunchaholics’ website, but it says the new place will open this fall.

Until it opens, neighbors can get a taste of the cuisine at a pop-up. The next one is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Pop-Up DFW in Deep Ellum (3409 Main St.). Pre-orders for the Cajun smothered shrimp ‘n’ grits and the Cajun smothered fish ‘n’ grits can be made here.

Washington is also selling a Brunchaholics cookbook, which can be purchased here.
