The Blockbuster store at Mockingbird and Hillside is closing, and Sunday was the last day to rent videos there. The store is selling the last of its inventory through Jan. 3.
"We’ve been evaluating a handful of stores, and this is one we selected," to close, says Blockbuster spokesman Randy Hargrove. Dallas-based Blockbuster Inc. announced in September that it could close as many as 960 stores by January 2011.
In East Dallas, there are still Blockbuster stores open on Greenville Avenue and Garland Road.
