I have to admit that I didn’t get up early to look for deals; my perusal of the newspaper Thursday night didn’t show me anything worth a 5:30 a.m. wakeup call, I guess. But I did amble on down to Home Depot at about 11:30 a.m. to pick up a $99 propane-fueled patio heater — that’s the least-expensive 40,000-BTU model I’ve ever seen. The drive down Skillman (it’s still now done, by the way) was pretty easy since there was minimal traffic, but the parking lot at Home Depot was at least half-filled. But there were plenty of people there to help out, and I was in and out of the store in probably 10 minutes. Guess I broke the rule of buying a door-buster and didn’t linger looking for something else.
