The coffee shop is leasing a 2,232-square-foot spot on Garland Road near its intersection with N. Buckner Boulevard.

It will be housed in a former chapel building at 9353 Garland Road, which was where the White Rock Community Chapel was.

Ascension offers coffee, wine and an all-day food menu. Pastries, sandwiches, salads and bowls, plus breakfast staples such as omelettes and eggs Benedict are offered. For drinks, there’s a variety of flavored lattes, including a pear matcha latte, a lavender latte and a shroom latte; several kinds of teas; pour-over coffees and espresso drinks; and cold brews.

Wines and cocktails, such as bloody marys and palomas, are also available.

There are locations in the Design District and Crescent Court, as well as Fort Worth, Addison, Cypress Waters and The Star in Frisco.
