The Dallas Arboretum is planning to have an exhibit and several interactive events at Galleria Dallas this spring.
On the Gallery Wall across from Apple on level one of the shopping center, the Arboretum is placing photos, including one of the tulips, and information about A Tasteful Place — a 3.5-acre garden for growing, harvesting and preparing fruits and vegetables — and the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden.
The exhibit will be available March 4-28, which falls during Dallas Blooms, the Arboretum’s spring festival featuring more than 500,000 blooming flowers. This year’s theme is “Birds in Paradise,” and neighbors can visit the garden Feb. 19 through April 10 to see it.
But anyone who visits the Galleria will see a photo of the Arboretum’s tulips that takes up a whole wall, about 11 feet, 6 inches tall and 18 feet wide.
In addition to the exhibit, the Arboretum is holding interactive events at the shopping center on the weekends. Gardening demonstrations are scheduled for March 5 and March 12, a STEM experiment is planned for March 19, and a floral demonstration will be held March 26. These free activities will begin across from Sephora on level one at 10 a.m. and are expected to last two hours each.
