Earlier today flames destroyed 22 units and displaced 44 residents of the Millennium Point Apartments in the 2900 block of Dilido. A boy jumped off a balcony to safety — he is reportedly injured but expected to be OK, and there are no critical injuries or deaths. It is also apparent from reports that victims and police suspect a resident of starting the fire.

But this seems to be just one in a string of deadly or dangerous episodes to take place at this complex in the past couple years. Eight units in the same complex burned down in March 2008. This same building was the scene of a shooting June 22 of this year. Less than a month before that shooting, there was a fire there that caused $500,000 worth of damage — a tenant was charged with setting that fire, according to this recent news story. Wow, no wonder these people are angry.
