Italian restaurant Alfonso’s  is celebrating its 41st anniversary this month. The restaurant started serving pizza and pasta in 1982 in Casa Linda Plaza, the oldest shopping center in Dallas. Peter Columbo, the owner, realized after moving to Dallas from Chicago that there were not many Italian restaurants in the area.

In 1991, Alfonso’s moved to White Rock Center, where they expanded the menu and changed the overall look of the restaurant.

On Oct. 16, they are offering all large pizza’s, including their Detroit style, for $10 each.
