It happened Feb. 12, we reported. One woman who had just parked her car at the Hilton Head Apartments, on McCree near Jupiter, and she was heading toward her apartment when the man grabbed her and covered her mouth and nose with a gloved hand before she fought like heck, kicked and and tripped him while screaming for help. A neighbor ran to her aid and the perp fled the scene, toward Jupiter.

Not 15 minutes later, another attack took place at the nearby Villas at La Risa apartments at 12825 Jupiter near Northwest Highway. This time the suspect reportedly dragged the victim behind a nearby dumpster, attempting to choke her and throw her to the ground. But this woman also fought, forcing her attacker to relent and flee northbound on Jupiter.

At the time police suspected the crimes were connected.

Here’s his description: Black male, between 30-33 years old, approximately five-foot-eight inches tall, stocky build, curly black hair.
