Here it is: Just about everything you’ve ever wanted and needed to know about the pending Woodrow Wilson High School redesign, the possible IB designation and what’s up with the other three academies that will be part of the curriculum. We talked with Dr. Kathy Scherler, who is heading up the school’s redesign.

• Every student enrolling in Woodrow, beginning with 9th graders next year, will have to select one of the four academies to help guide studies.

• Although no one knows how many neighborhood students will ultimately enroll at Woodrow, it has been estimated that up to 40 percent of the school’s student population could be comprised of students outside Woodrow’s attendance zone.

• More than 300 people showed up at Woodrow last month to hear more about the new plans, and every week, students from private schools and schools outside Woodrow’s attendance zone are showing up at the school to check it out prior to the enrollment period in February.
