Cricket & Crosby Advocate_11132013

Dee Fort of Dee’s Doggie Den was at Tietze Park a month ago and found two dogs traveling together — a small Beagle and a Chiweenie. She works closely with White Rock Dog Rescue and they are now in the adoption program. The are best friends and are ready for adoption.

Cricket is a female, 10-month-old, 18-pound miniature (or pocket) 13-inch Beagle. This is the smaller of the two main Beagle breeds.  She is a typical happy-go-lucky Beagle — full of personality, outgoing, happy and loving with a good temperament. Beagles are pack dogs and get along well with other animals and their human friends.  Cricket loves walks and is eager to please and food-motivated, which makes her easy to train. She is housebroken.

Crosby is a male, 15-month-old 11-pound, white Chiweenie (Chihuahua and Daschund). He was found traveling in Lakewood with his best friend, Cricket. Chihuahuas are known for loving people and being affectionate housemates. They have a big personality stashed in a little body! He loves walks and is eager to please. Crosby also is housebroken.

If you are interested, you can stop in and visit them at Dee’s Doggie Den — just ask the staff to bring out Cricket or Crosby. They also will be at White Rock Dog Rescue events. This Saturday, Nov. 16, we will be at Eatzi’s at Lemmon and Oak Lawn from noon-4 p.m. The first Saturday of the month, come see us at White Rock Community Church on Garland just west of the Buckner intersection.

Please visit our website, www.whiterockdog.org, to see a list of all our adoptable pets. If you are interested in either of these dogs, send an email to adoptions@whiterockdog.org or call 214.507.4016.
