At about 10 p.m. last Thursday, a Lakewood homeowner caught on video a guy burglarizing his pickup truck parked in his back driveway. Though you can’t make out the thief’s features, the video is telling — he’s traveling on bicycle, wearing a backpack and a hoodie. He moves relatively slowly. He grabs a couple boxes from the truck and sets them alongside the fence. I can’t tell if he’s able to carry them off on his bike or if he leaves them there for later pickup (which would certainly add to the audacity). Anyway, it gives us, and hopefully police, a good idea of what/who is involved in vehicle break ins. Oh, and go easy on the truck owner for leaving the doors unlocked — I’m sure he’s heard his fill about that already. View the video after the jump.
