So I’m in Anchorage, and I pick up the local newspaper, and the story on the front page details how the city is getting shafted on its lease — its lease, for crying out loud — for the city hall. The city is not only paying rent, but the property taxes as well. And there was no blog around for me to pontificate.
It’s so good to be back, to find out there is a chance the president could read our blog, that I need to find out why Carraba’s has vanished (will hop on that tomorrow), and that our commenters are intrigued by an idea for neighborhood associations to form electric co-ops. That will show TXU and those deadbeats in the Legislature a thing or two.
I also have a few Trinity toll road thoughts, which percolated while I was driving around Alaska, where drivers apparently obey the speed limit, don’t talk on cell phones, and there are no toll roads (or many roads at all, for that matter).
