While they had been working feverishly to get another major bond program on the November ballot, it now appears that Ross Avenue is considering waiting until May. The reason caught me by surprise….Trinity Vote.
Estimates from the District about the size of the next bond election are not being floated, but it is almost certain to be at least the second largest bond election in DISD history. With the largest bond program (by a very wide margin) still not quite completed, and with some of the negative publicity the District has received, the new bond program is certainly not considered a slam dunk anyway. Now it seems they are concerned about a "Just Say No" mentality at the polls as a result of the Trinity Vote debate.
I think they could be right.
