Lakewood Branch Library is hosting A Night of Jane Austen at their campus tomorrow, Dec. 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The event is a celebration of Austen’s 249th birthday, complete with tea, a Pride and Prejudice presentation from the Friends of Jane Austen and crafts.
Dr. Theresa Kenny, a professor at the University of Dallas and an official member of the Friends of Jane Austen, will be discussing Pride and Prejudice being adapted for modern audiences and screens, as well as the fidelity of those works.
The adult event currently has 29 seats remaining. Neighbors interested in attending can RSVP here.
