The Office of Homeless Solutions’ (OHS) citywide coat drive is asking neighbors to help them reach their goal of collecting 1,000 winter coats by Dec. 31. They are 600 coats short.
Starting Nov. 18, OHS has been on the hunt for new or clean gently-used, adult-sized winter coats to donate to individuals experiencing homelessness. The coat drive is a partnership with the Dallas public Library. As such, two of the three drop-off locations for coats in our neighborhood are libraries: Lakewood Branch Library and the Lochwood Branch Library. The third location is Smoky Rose Restaurant.
Only coats will be accepted at these locations.
