Teams of up to six people will be challenged to build a boat, raft or “some sort of floating water craft” that is entirely made of cardboard. Waterproofing and taping seams is allowed. Check-in for the event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the race will start at 7 p.m. $15 will be charged per boat.

Participants will have to steer their water craft across the Samuell Grand lap pool. Each team will have a captain, a first mate and up to four people operating as the crew.

Judging will be based on boat design and creativity as well as team spirit and speed. A “Titanic Award” will be given for the boat with the most dramatic sinking. Registration can be done at the event or at any Dallas Aquatics center.
