Christina James is a barista and competitive cyclist who works at the bike shop located on W. Lawther Drive. Her family is from Colombia, she told The Dallas Morning News, and they own a coffee farm.

It was her idea to start Pull Through Coffee in the store, in part as a way to encourage cyclists to stay before or after rides. In the future, she wants to offer beer and wine, too.

Local products will be used at the coffee shop, including Cultivar coffee beans and pastries from Leila Bakery.

The coffee shop is expected to open by the end of the year. There will be a few stools inside, but most people will order from the walk-up window outside.

Dallas Bike Works and Pull Through Coffee are located at 4875 W. Lawther Dr.
