A coffee shop that provides formerly incarcerated women with jobs is opening Monday on Garland Road.
Well Grounded Coffee Community will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 9219 Garland Road.
Founders Michael and Natalie Huscheck had hoped to open in November, but the buildout of the 1,600-square-foot space took longer than expected. The Huschecks opened for limited hours Dec. 14 during a soft opening, and they plan to expand those hours after Monday’s grand opening.
Buy a grand opening T-shirt for $19.99 and wear it on opening day to receive a free coffee of your choice.
The Huschecks have hired two baristas from Exodus Ministries, a faith-based nonprofit that helps formerly incarcerated women rehabilitate their lives.
