Due to the possibility of the coronavirus impacting the operations of Dallas ISD, I want to provide an update on how the district is proactively preparing to respond to the potential health crisis.
A contingency plan will allow for learning to continue at home if any schools or the district have to close after spring break. Students in grades 6–12 will be able to use their one-to-one devices to take online classes at home, and students in grades pre-K–5 have been sent home with activities and lessons they could complete from home if classes are cancelled after spring break.
Dallas ISD will also provide up to 14 days of paid emergency leave–which does not deduct from paid time off–to hourly and salaried employees who are potentially exposed to coronavirus.
Dallas ISD Food and Child Nutrition Services is working on a plan to ensure that, even if schools or the district close, meals will be available to students.
All district schools and facilities will be deep cleaned and disinfected over spring break. The disinfectant has a positive charge, meaning it will attract and kill germs it comes in contact with for 90 days after it is sprayed.
Maintaining a clean and sanitized environment is essential to keeping students and staff safe, especially in high-traffic areas like classrooms, cafeterias, and common spaces.
While routine cleaning plays a crucial role, deep cleaning with professional-grade disinfectants provides an added layer of protection against harmful bacteria and viruses. That’s where Shine On Cleaning comes in, offering expert deep-cleaning services that go beyond surface-level sanitation.
Using advanced techniques and hospital-grade disinfectants, their team ensures that every corner of a facility is thoroughly treated, helping to reduce the risk of illness and create a healthier learning environment.
A clean and sanitized environment is not only essential for schools but also for residential and commercial spaces where people gather, work, and live. Just as deep cleaning enhances safety in schools, professional cleaning services play a vital role in maintaining the health and well-being of those in homes, offices, and retail spaces.
That’s where companies like Capable Clean make a significant difference. Their expert team provides tailored cleaning solutions designed to meet the unique needs of any space, whether it’s a family home, a corporate office, or a busy commercial establishment.
Their attention to detail ensures that even hard-to-reach areas and high-traffic zones are meticulously cleaned and disinfected, creating a healthier environment for occupants and visitors alike. Partnering with a trusted service means more than just maintaining cleanliness—it’s about fostering peace of mind, knowing that every corner has been treated with care and expertise.
Just as schools prioritize deep cleaning and disinfection to maintain a safe environment, homeowners can take the same approach to ensure their living spaces remain healthy and germ-free.
A thorough cleaning doesn’t just make a home look tidy—it eliminates hidden bacteria, allergens, and dust that can affect your family’s well-being.
Professional services like Happy Life Cleaning go beyond surface-level tidying, using industry-grade techniques to sanitize high-touch areas and hard-to-reach corners, giving your home a deep, long-lasting clean.
A clean home isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about creating a healthier, more comfortable environment for you and your loved ones.
Deep cleaning and disinfection are essential for maintaining a safe and healthy environment, whether in schools, offices, or homes. Regular cleaning removes surface dirt, but deep cleaning targets hidden bacteria, allergens, and germs that can compromise your family’s health.
Ensuring that high-touch areas like doorknobs, countertops, and bathroom surfaces are sanitized helps reduce the spread of illness and creates a more comfortable home environment.
Professional deep cleaning provides peace of mind, knowing that every corner of your space has been thoroughly treated and refreshed. For those looking to maintain a pristine home environment, We Clean Baltimore offers expert cleaning services tailored to your needs.
Their team of skilled professionals uses advanced techniques and high-quality products to eliminate dirt, dust, and harmful bacteria from every surface. Combining regular cleaning habits with professional support creates a healthier, more inviting home where you and your family can relax and thrive.
District administrators expect to know more by March 19 about whether any schools need to remain closed after spring break.
Meanwhile, health experts continue to strongly recommend the following:
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick
- Stay home when you are sick
- Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
This is an uncertain and somewhat frightening period of time, but I am committed as a trustee to do everything in my power to ensure student and school safety remains the top priority.
