After seven clutch saves against a ranked opponent on the road, former Bishop Lynch soccer star Madison White got the recognition she deserved for leading No. 25 Texas Tech to a win.
The freshman was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week after replacing injured goalkeeper Marissa Zucchetto against No. 22 South Florida. She was later named national Player of the Week by Top Drawer Soccer.

Last year, White was voted Female Athlete of the Year as a senior at Bishop Lynch. The 5-foot-11 freshman was also a track athlete at her alma mater and intends to high jump at Tech.
On Thursday, White go the start against No. 18 Oklahoma State and led her team to a 1-0 win.
