The brick-and-mortar location at 2730 N. Henderson Ave. may be closing, but Emeralds to Coconuts will open an online store this fall, owner Lulie Scott said in an email to customers that was obtained by the Morning News.

“We have been so grateful for the opportunity to provide you with unique comfortable clothing and accessories for all these years,” Scott said. “Getting to know you all has been the most rewarding part of this adventure.”

Scott stocked her two-story, bright green building with comfortable dresses, skirts, pants, tops and even sweaters for the mild Texas winters. Before it became a popular trend among other boutiques, she added hats, jewelry and decorative home items to the store, along with its apparel.

The 2,764-square-foot building sits on a parcel of land that’s only 0.13 acres. It has eight parking spaces and 78 feet of frontage on Henderson, according to the real estate listing.

The property is listed for sale by Henry S. Miller Cos. for $1.28 million.
