More retail, restaurants and apartments could be coming to North Central Expressway, near DART’s Mockingbird Station and Magnolia Hotel, just outside of East Dallas.

The mixed-use development, called The Crossing, would consist of 500,000 square feet of apartments as well as 90,000 square feet of retail and restaurants. (See renderings of what the 8-acre site would look like here).

Convexity Properties is the developer behind the project. According to the Dallas Morning News, Convexity recently filed building permits with the City of Dallas that totaled $84 million for The Crossing.

About 330 high-rise and low-rise apartments, along with a low-rise retail building near the freeway, are included in Convexity’s plans.
