Learn the basic of brewing beer this weekend.

Because of poor weather last week, the Dallas Arboretum is open this weekend for a holiday market sale you don’t want to miss. You’ll find enough gifts and decorations it will be hard not to check everything off on your holiday list this season.  The market will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Santa and one of his reindeer are coming for a visit and you don’t have to travel far to see them. On Dec. 15 the Greenville Avenue Pizza Company will be hosting the pair who will be available for photos from 4 to 7 p.m. Of course you can always get a $3 Shiner Cheer or Saint Arnold’s Christmas Ale while you’re at it.

Good Local Markets is giving residents a chance to support the community and shop local with the upcoming Holiday Extravaganza on Saturday. From 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. head to Garland road to get those Christmas presents and maybe a little something for yourself.

This Saturday, Dec. 10, from 8 a.m to 2 p.m, enjoy a local holiday market for all your holiday season needs. The market will be set up in the parking lot of Lakeside Baptist Church.  Start preparing for Christmas by getting all the information here.
As always, the Granada Theater is the place to go if you’re in the mood for some music. On Saturday at 11 p.m. Danielle Nicole will take the stage with a blues performance while Woolly Jammeth takes over on Sunday at 10 p.m. for a free show.
Pull out that ugly sweater you thought you’d never wear and take it to the Truckyard this Saturday. The Tacky Sweater Party is going be a fun event that will include great food, holiday drinks and more. Most importantly, the tacky Christmas sweater contest takes place from 9 p.m to 11 p.m, so make sure you get there, whether you’re participating or just watching. 
Why not take a break this weekend and learn something new? Sign up for “An Intro to Homebrewing,” to learn the basics of brewing through KnowHow Dallas. The classes take place on Saturday, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
There’s nothing like Christmas light to get in the holiday spirit and, this weekend, on Dec. 10 and 11, check them out the Casa Linda Lights display.  The event will last all day but be sure to check out these lights when it is dark when you can really get in the holiday spirit and enjoy this beautiful center. 
Hear that music? It’s coming from the White Rock Community Church where caroling and a beautiful holiday string quartet performance will take place this Sunday. The event happens inside the church and will begin at 10:45 a.m.
