After more than 30 years of teaching at Lakewood Elementary School, Cynthia Bell is retiring this year, according to fellow teacher and neighborhood resident Lois Lamb (the subject of Advocate story in 2007). The school, 3000 Hillbrook, is hosting a reception honoring Bell in the foyer from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28, and former students and parents are welcome to stop by.
