The James Beard Foundation, one of the nation’s most prestigious culinary honors, announced its 2024 Restaurant and Chef Awards semifinalists and three East Dallas spots have made the culinary cut.
Best Chef
- Misti Norris, Executive Chef and owner of Petra and the Beast. The 2024 semifinalist announcement marks Norris’ fourth appearance on the ballot.
- Regino Rojas of Revolver Taco Lounge marks his second debut to the 2024 James Beard Award semifinalists.
Outstanding Hospitality
Gemma makes the list for Outstanding Hospitality.
About the James Beard Awards:
Established in 1990 recognizes leaders in the culinary industry for those who are creating exceptional food and food media content. Award winners receive a certificate and a medallion engraved with the James Beard Foundation Awards insignia.
This announcement is the first round of the annual competition. Nominees will be announced on Wednesday, April 3 and winners will be celebrated at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony on Monday, June 10, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
