Authorities are investigating after officers found a kitten that appeared to have been strangled by a telephone cable on Vickery Boulevard, according to a police report.
Officers found the kitten Jan. 17 in the 5800 block of Vickery Boulevard.
No suspect has been named, and no arrest had been made.
“In over 15 years, I can’t recall this ever happening before in our neighborhood,” said Darren Dattalo of the Lower Greenville Neighborhood Association Crime Watch. “Regardless of how you feel about animals, this is disturbing. If you ever saw an episode of ‘Dexter,’ you know that this type of animal cruelty is often an indicator of someone unstable and potentially dangerous. I hope we never see it again.”
Animal cruelty cases can be reported to 911.
