What better way to celebrate the holidays than by giving back?
Greenland Hills United Method Church’s annual Global Village Market has not only provided a means to give back but give back generously. Since the market was started more than 10 years ago, it has brought the total number of funds raised to $234,572.
This year residents were able to buy hand-made items and delicious food all while knowing their purchases would be helping strangers across the globe.
The funds go to non-profits such as Mommies in Need, which helps families going through a medical crisis; and Congo Restoration, a sewing school for women.
