After their investigation, detectives identified 28-year-old Aries Jones and 21-year-old Tivione English as the shooters, the police said. Jones and English turned themselves in to the police and were taken to the Dallas County jail.

Police responded to a shooting call in the 3600 block of Greenville Avenue around 2 a.m. March 18. Cameron Ray was shot and later died of his injuries.

Early in the investigation, the police determined that two groups, with Ray in one, and the other including the suspects, were fighting near the intersection of Greenville and Martel.

The fight lasted about two minutes, and then the group that included the suspects got into a black SUV. The car drove by Ray and others walking east on Martel Avenue, and people inside the car began shooting at the people walking.
