The City’s Office of Emergency Management is bringing its Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training Course into 2025, according to a Jan. 7 press release.
The free course, which was also offered in the fall, will be conducted over three sessions in the course of three weeks. It is designed to provide local residents with emergency and disaster preparedness skills. Dallas CERT training involves units on psychology, fire safety, rescue and terrorism.
For those not able to attend all sessions, the City offers an hour-long online course designed to give participants an introduction to course topics.
The registration deadline for the complete CERT course is Jan. 9. To register, visit dallascert.com or contact Jen Edwards at (469) 834-1717.
