A 13-year-old boy was playing basketball at Old East Dallas Work Yard Park on Munger Boulevard when he was shot in the back around 8 p.m. on Thursday.
There was a disturbance between two vehicles about a block away, and after about 20-30 gunshots, the boy was hit at least once in the back as he fled the area.
WFAA reports that the boy was taken to the hospital in a squad car, as he suffered a collapsed lung and was turning blue on the way to the hospital. The boy is in critical but stable condition.
The suspects have not been apprehended and their whereabouts are unknown.
