The Dallas Office of Arts and Culture (OAC) is bringing new public art to the Old East Dallas Work Yard Park.
The 2.4 acre neighborhood park has been around for over 40 years. Just a few years after the park was established, the City appointed a public art coordinator to oversee public art projects in 1984. The park currently has picnic tables, trails, water fountains and a pavilion.
The OAC will be hosting a virtual community meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 28 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for residents to offer feedback and suggestions that will help define the scope of the new public art project.Â
