Woodrow Wilson High School’s 80th anniversary is this year, and super-alum Kyle Rains is leading the charge to celebrate the milestone. Rains has called an organizational meeting Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 6:30 p.m. at Juliette Fowler Homes’ Jackson Living Center, in the downstairs private dining room. On the docket: Hall of Fame nominations, reforming the Woodrow Alumni Association, raising $14,000 to help offer the International Baccalaureate Degree at Woodrow, and of course, planning this spring’s big birthday party for the school. Karen Matneyt Brown (1976) and Carol Lewis Paglia (1970), both of whom work at Fowler, are hosting the event; if you would like to attend and be part of the planning, contact Kyle to let him know you’ll be there.
