
Woodrow Wilson High School
The State Fair of Texas, Big Tex Scholarship Program has announced its awarding of 225 scholarships this year. Across the program’s 32-year history, it has awarded over 3,500 students for a program total of over $18.8 million.
The State Fair awards college scholarships to selected applicants from six Dallas ISD schools surrounding the Fair Park area — Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School, Franklin D. Roosevelt, James Madison, Lincoln, North Dallas and Woodrow Wilson high schools.
This year, a total of 106 graduating seniors were awarded the State Fair of Texas Juanita Craft Scholarship, named after the influential activist who played an important role in integrating the State Fair of Texas, universities, restaurants and theatres around Dallas during the civil rights movement.
Out of the 106 graduating seniors chosen, 23 are from Woodrow Wilson High School.
