Black History Month is in full swing and many of the schools in the Dallas Independent School District are putting on programs or exhibitions to commemorate the event and celebrate a people that gave so much the United States and the world.

In Lakewood at Woodrow Wilson High School’s Black History Month a Black History program will be held Feb. 17 at 3:30 p.m. Special guests will include representatives from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and the Unity Project. Dance and choir performances will be part of the program as well.
