Woodrow students honored at Bush Institute debate competition Oct. 2012.
Four Woodrow Wilson High School students advanced to the semi-finals during the recent George W. Bush Institute Economic Debates Tournament: Javier Gonzalez, Barrett Blaker, Mac Murchison and Caleb Gorham. Other students honored at the event included Paulie Garrison, Josh Barnhouse, Barrett Blaker, Kadrian Oliver and Leslie Mojica. The students combined to earn $5,250 in scholarships and prize money for themselves and Woodrow.
The debate was co-sponsored by St. Mark’s School of Texas, and the themes were economics, government and politics.
