Pats on the back to Woodrow Wilson High School cheer sponsor Aaronia Ferguson and the varsity squad, which won first place overall in the cheer category as well as a “superior squad” designation in the Universal Cheerleaders Association camp at Great Wolf Lodge this past week. They also were commended as superior in their dance categories.

Six Woodrow cheerleaders also were selected as All American, and two were asked to audition for positions on the Universal Cheerleaders Association staff.

Jude Moore, the Woodrow mascot, was selected as an All American and was awarded most spirited mascot.

These award-winning cheerleaders will be conducting a camp of their own, July 30-Aug. 3, for kids entering kindergarten through sixth grade. It costs $150. To register, contact Evelyn Hardwick.
